Eko Hot Blog reports that the update, shared on JAMB’s official X page on Sunday, aims to help candidates complete their registration smoothly ahead of the sales of forms beginning January 31, 2026.

According to the board, applicants must ensure that their personal details, such as NIN, email and A-Level records, are correct before generating a profile code. The profile code, once created, cannot be edited, as all biodata is pulled directly from NIMC.
Candidates are required to send their NIN to 55019 or 66019 and thereafter proceed to any JAMB office or accredited CBT centre to finalise their registration. They must purchase their E-PINs only from approved banks, online vendors or authorised agents.

JAMB also warned against errors in names, dates of birth, state of origin and other biodata, advising that all corrections at NIMC be completed early and confirmed before registration begins.
The board listed frequent challenges, such as error codes, SIM number conflicts and NIN verification delays, and provided guidance on how candidates can resolve them.
Registration for the 2026 UTME will run from January 31 to March 8, 2026.
