President Bola Tinubu has ordered security agencies to intensify collaboration with state governors to prevent further kidnappings across the country, especially attacks targeting students and schoolchildren.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the president issued the directive while commending security operatives for securing the release of 100 students abducted from Papiri Catholic School in Niger State.

In a statement signed by his spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu urged security agencies to speed up efforts to free the remaining 115 students and teachers still in captivity.
Tinubu assured parents and communities that the Federal Government and the Niger State Government are working closely to ensure the safe return of all abducted victims.
“I have been briefed on the safe return of 100 students from the Catholic School in Niger State. I rejoice with Governor Umar Bago and commend our security agencies for their steadfast work since the unfortunate incident on November 21,” he said.

He stressed that rescuing all kidnapped Nigerians remains a top priority of his administration.
“My directive to our security forces remains that all the students and other abducted Nigerians across the country must be rescued and brought back home safely. We must account for all the victims.”
Tinubu also reaffirmed federal support for state governments to strengthen school security.
“From now on, our security agencies, working with the governors, must prevent future kidnappings,” the president added.
