A medical doctor, Dr. Femi olawale Kembi, the only son of former Lagos State Deputy Governor and Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, has died following complications from surgery in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Eko Hot Blog reports that Femi reportedly passed away in the early hours of Wednesday after undergoing an undisclosed surgical procedure, throwing Lagos’ political circle into deep mourning.

The tragic development has sent shockwaves through the All Progressives Congress (APC), particularly in Alimosho, where the Adefulire family is widely known for its political influence.
Confirming the incident, Lagos APC Spokesman, Hon. Seye Oladejo, described the loss as devastating.

“It’s sadly true. APC is devastated,” Oladejo said on Thursday. “This is a most dreadful experience for any parent. Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire is an exceptionally good person, and the entire party structure has been thrown into mourning over this humongous tragedy. May his precious soul rest in peace.”
Princess Orelope-Adefulire served as Lagos State Deputy Governor from 2011 to 2015 under former Governor Babatunde Fashola. She currently serves as Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on SDGs, where she plays a key role in advancing national development and social welfare initiatives.
Since news of the death broke, condolences have continued to pour in from political associates, party leaders, community figures and residents of Lagos State.
