The Senate has instructed the National Security Adviser (NSA) to probe the source of false online reports concerning the health status of Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the directive followed a point of order raised during plenary by Senator Titus Zam, who condemned viral claims alleging that Akpabio collapsed and was rushed to a hospital in London.

He stressed that the reports were entirely untrue, adding that the deliberate circulation of false health claims posed a threat to public trust and responsible journalism.
