According to Dr. Alausa, the Ministry is working closely with state governments and local communities through a comprehensive action plan designed to stabilise learning environments, restore public confidence in education, and ensure that no learner is left behind.
Key elements of the plan include updated learner-support materials with step-by-step guidance, QR code links, and expanded deployment of digital learning portals such as Learning Passport, FME Inspire, and Ignite.
All portals are aligned with the National Education Research and Development Council (NERDC) curriculum, with additional support from development partners including UNICEF, UNESCO, and UNDP.
A digital learner guidance pamphlet has also been produced to help both teachers and students navigate these approved learning platforms.
To further enhance learning continuity, the Ministry will engage in strategic planning and coordination with state-level education authorities, including State Commissioners of Education, SUBEB Chairmen, and principals of Unity Colleges.

Medical and mental health support, including psychosocial counseling, is being provided to learners and educators to ensure smooth transitions back into a safe and supportive school environment.
The Ministry has also strengthened early-warning systems to protect students and teachers nationwide.
Dr. Alausa and the Minister of State for Education, Prof. Suwaiba Said Ahmad, acknowledged the crucial role of UN partners—UNICEF, UNESCO, and UNDP in supporting school safety and learning continuity in affected areas.
Additionally, the Federal Ministry of Education is conducting advocacy and sensitisation visits, activating and supporting State Technical Working Groups, and fast-tracking targeted interventions for priority states.
“These coordinated actions reaffirm the Federal Government’s commitment to ensuring education continues safely and uninterrupted, even amid security challenges,” Dr. Alausa said, emphasizing that schools must remain protected spaces for learning, resilience, and national development.
