Eko Hot Blog reports that the newly completed water projects are already providing relief to community members who have long faced challenges in accessing potable water, while also promoting environmentally friendly solutions through the use of solar energy.
Speaking on the development, Hon. Akinloye described access to clean water as a basic necessity, noting that “this administration remains committed to improving the quality of life of our people through sustainable and people-oriented projects.”
He added that “no community in Eredo LCDA should be left behind when it comes to essential services like clean water.”
The council chairman further disclosed that the commitment to water infrastructure is ongoing, as three additional solar-powered boreholes are currently under construction at Oriwu Street, Odo-Egiri; Thomson Street, Iraye; and LASU Road, Iraye.
According to him, “these ongoing projects are part of our broader development agenda to ensure that residents across Eredo have access to safe water close to their homes.”
Residents of the benefiting communities have expressed appreciation to the council leadership, describing the projects as timely and impactful, especially in reducing the burden of water scarcity and improving public health.
The delivery of the boreholes further reflects the administration’s focus on people-centred governance, sustainability, and inclusive development, reinforcing Eredo LCDA’s commitment to meeting the basic needs of its growing population.
