EKO HOT BLOG reports that Kwankwaso disclosed the visit in a statement shared on his official Facebook page, noting that the supporters came from Nasarawa Local Government Area of the state.
The former Kano State governor expressed appreciation to the supporters, describing their action as a demonstration of loyalty and resilience at a difficult time for the party and the Kwankwasiyya movement.
According to him, the visit reflected the strength of the movement despite recent political developments in the state.
“This afternoon, I was honoured to receive a solidarity visit at my residence in Kano from the resilient people of Nasarawa Local Government,” Kwankwaso said.
“In our discussions, I reaffirmed my profound appreciation for their unwavering courage and determination.”
Kwankwaso said the decision of the supporters to remain with him was not motivated by personal interest but by a shared commitment to the welfare and progress of the people.
“Despite the recent trials that have tested the faith and fortitude of many, they have chosen to stand firmly with us not for personal gain, but for the collective progress and wellbeing of our people,” he stated.
He added that the movement remained committed to its founding principles.
“Together, we remain resolute in upholding and advancing the timeless ideals of Kwankwasiyya,” he said.
Reassuring his supporters, Kwankwaso expressed optimism about the future of the movement, describing their loyalty as a source of renewed strength.
“Thank you once again for your loyalty and solidarity. The journey continues, and victory is assured by the grace of God and the will of the people,” he added.
The visit followed the recent defection of Governor Yusuf from the NNPP to the All Progressives Congress, a development that has generated political reactions across Kano State. Kwankwaso has publicly criticised the move, describing the day Yusuf left the party as “World Betrayal Day”.
