The curtain has fallen on the 2026 Grammy Awards, with US rap star Kendrick Lamar stealing the spotlight after walking away with five trophies on the nigh.
Eko Hot Blog reports that Lamar’s haul included the prestigious Record of the Year award for Luther, his collaboration with R&B singer SZA, making him the most decorated artiste at this year’s ceremony.

Despite Lamar’s dominance, honours in the top categories were spread across several acts. Latin music star Bad Bunny claimed Album of the Year, Billie Eilish won Song of the Year for Wildflower, while Olivia Dean was crowned Best New Artist.

In all, the Recording Academy handed out awards across 95 categories, many of which were presented during the pre-telecast premiere event ahead of the main live broadcast.
For Nigerian artistes, the night ended without a win. Burna Boy missed out in both the Best African Music Performance and Best Global Music Album categories, while Davido, Ayra Starr, Wizkid, and Omah Lay also failed to secure victories in the African music category.
The African music prize was won by South African singer Tyla, marking her second triumph in the category after her earlier win with Water when the award was first introduced.
