The Nigerian Army Finance Corps organised a valedictory parade to honour 10 senior officers retiring from active service, celebrating their dedication and contributions to the Corps.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the retirees include Major Generals KI Yusuf, AA Fayemiwo, J Mohammed, RN Ochei, MO Ihanuwaze, M Galadima, SA Gumel, and Brigadier Generals EA Obona, AS Maikano, and MK Baba-Mallam.

Lieutenant Colonel Musa Yahaya, Acting Deputy Director of Army Public Relations, 81 Division, said the parade took place at the Nigerian Army School of Signals Parade Ground in Apapa, Lagos.
The Special Guest of Honour, Major General Kamal Ishola Yusuf (retd.), described the event as one of the most dignified and vibrant parades he had attended.

In his address, Major General Yusuf emphasised the importance of military traditions, noting that such customs underpin discipline, ethos, and a collective sense of purpose within the Army.
He described the pulling-out parade as a testament to the Nigerian Army Finance Corps’ commitment to preserving its heritage.

He also expressed gratitude to God for safeguarding the lives of the retirees throughout their service and acknowledged the support of the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu NAM.
Additionally, Major General Yusuf commended the Chief of Accounts and Budget (Army), Major General TT Sidick, for his efforts in ensuring the success of the parade.
The ceremony was attended by serving and retired officers, former Chiefs of Army Staff, Corps Commanders, heads of defence institutions, formation commanders, industry leaders, financial institution heads, and the families of the retirees.

Highlights of the event included a ceremonial pull-out parade, a march-past, and group photographs.
Guests were later treated to a reception at the Command Finance Office featuring live music, comedy performances, cultural displays, and a lavish spread of food and drinks.
