She stated that she was contacted via Instagram by a man claiming to have recently returned from the United Kingdom to launch an international fashion brand in Nigeria. The individual reportedly offered her ₦140,000 for the modelling assignment and requested that she also promote the brand on her social media platforms.
The initial contact was reportedly made on February 1, and the content creator agreed to the assignment after being assured that a full production crew, including a make-up artist, would be present. For safety, she said her friend accompanied her to the shoot.

Upon arrival at the location around 11 a.m., the apartment was largely empty. The man allegedly claimed that the space was a content creation studio and that the make-up artist had stepped out briefly. According to Fems Thrift, the suspect then asked her to take a shower, providing a robe for her to change into.
She claimed that the situation escalated when the man entered the room under the pretext of demonstrating how to lock the door and allegedly threatened both women, forcing them to comply with his demands. The victims’ mobile phones were reportedly seized, and private files were allegedly accessed and transferred by the suspect.
“He threatened me with my internet presence, saying if I spoke up, he would release my private videos now and in the future,” she stated. The two women reportedly left the apartment between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.
The video has since sparked widespread outrage on social media, with users demanding the arrest of the alleged perpetrator. Images purportedly showing the suspect have also circulated online.
When contacted, Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Adebisi, confirmed that no formal complaint had been filed as of February 11, 2026. She added that police were attempting to reach the complainant to commence a formal investigation.
