EKO HOT BLOG reports that Kane opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 22nd minute after a VAR review ruled that Senne Lynen had fouled Lennart Karl inside the area. The England captain calmly converted his ninth penalty of the season.
Three minutes later, he doubled Bayern’s advantage. Collecting the ball on the edge of the box, Kane shifted it onto his right foot before firing a precise effort that struck the post on its way into the net.
The strike marked his 500th senior goal in 743 appearances for club and country, with 100 of those coming from penalties. He has now scored 41 goals in all competitions this season, including 26 in the league.
Under head coach Vincent Kompany, Bayern remain firmly in control of the title race, ahead of Borussia Dortmund, who had earlier thrashed Mainz 4 0 to briefly cut the gap.
The only setback for Bayern came when captain Manuel Neuer was withdrawn at half time with a calf injury. He was replaced by Jonas Urbig, with the hosts maintaining their dominance.
With 20 minutes remaining, Leon Goretzka sealed the victory. The midfielder controlled the ball on the edge of the area before drilling a low shot into the bottom corner to make it three.
Bayern will next host Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday at 14:30 GMT. A win could extend their lead to nine points, depending on Dortmund’s result away to RB Leipzig later that day.

For Werder Bremen, the defeat leaves them 16th and hovering near the relegation play off position. A crucial trip to FC St. Pauli on February 22 could prove decisive in their survival battle.
