The Leadership and members of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Lekki LCDA Branch, have expressed profound grief over the passing of His Royal Majesty, Oba Ganiyu Adebowale Adegbesan, the revered Oni-Ise of Ise Land.
Eko Hot Blog reports that in a solemn statement dated February 22, 2026, the youth body described the monarch’s transition as the end of a remarkable era marked by wisdom, dignity, and unwavering commitment to cultural preservation and community advancement.
The council noted that the late Kabiyesi was a symbol of unity, peace, and progress whose reign strengthened the traditional institution and fostered collective growth within Ise Land and across Lekki LCDA.
“His Royal Majesty was a father to many and a pillar of stability whose guidance and dedication to community development will remain indelible in the history of Ise Land,” the statement read.
The NYCN emphasized that as a youth organization devoted to responsible leadership and heritage preservation, it deeply appreciates the values the monarch upheld throughout his lifetime.
“Kabiyesi stood for integrity, harmony, and unmatched devotion to his people. His legacy will continue to inspire generations to come,” the council stated.
The youth body extended heartfelt condolences to the royal family, the Council of Chiefs, and the entire people of Ise Land, praying for strength and comfort in this period of mourning.
“We pray that Almighty Allah grants him Aljanah Firdaus and grants his loved ones the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. Rest on, Kabiyesi. Your legacy of honour and service will forever remain in our hearts.”
