While the potential bout has generated substantial social media buzz, the financial terms have become a major sticking point, highlighting the growing commercial stakes of influencer led combat sports in West Africa.
During the broadcast, which reportedly took place at the residence of billionaire businessman Emeka Okonkwo, also known as E-Money, Soso Soberekon placed the sum of 50 million Naira on the table to facilitate a match between the two entertainers.
Carter Efe, who has had several public disagreements with Portable in the past, accepted the offer without hesitation.
The comedian expressed extreme confidence in his ability to defeat the singer, urging the promoters to finalize a date and venue for the event.
However, Portable quickly moved to shift the narrative, characterizing the initial offer as insufficient for a star of his magnitude and combat record.
In a video response that has since gone viral, Portable insisted that his participation in the ring requires a significantly higher premium.
He demanded that a luxury vehicle worth 300 million Naira be added to the cash prize, bringing his total valuation for the fight to 350 million Naira.
The singer noted that the current offer of 50 million Naira is too small given the viewership and engagement he generates.
He stated that for a total package of 350 million Naira, he would be willing to enter the ring and deliver a decisive defeat to Carter Efe.

This demand follows a pattern of high stakes negotiations by the artist, who often leverages his viral status to maximize financial returns from public appearances and stunts.
Portable justified his steep asking price by referencing his previous experiences in the boxing ring.
He reminded fans and promoters of his past victories over actor Charles Okocha and controversial figure Speed Darlington, arguing that these wins have established him as a legitimate draw in the celebrity boxing circuit.
For the singer, these matches are not merely for entertainment but are professional engagements that require appropriate compensation.

He maintained that he is the same individual who dominated previous celebrity bouts and suggested that his ring presence is a guarantee of commercial success for any promoter involved.

During his period in remand, his first wife gave birth to a child, adding a complex layer of personal drama to his professional life.
