The motorist involved in the crash that left British boxing star Anthony Joshua injured and claimed two lives has appeared before a court in Nigeria.
Joshua’s personal trainer, Latif Ayodele, and his strength and conditioning coach, Sina Ghami, lost their lives on 29 December when the vehicle they were travelling in collided with a parked lorry near Lagos, Eko Hot Blog reports.

Joshua, a former world heavyweight champion, sustained injuries in the accident and received medical treatment before being discharged from hospital two days later.

The driver, Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, 46, was arraigned at the Sagamu Magistrates’ Court in Ogun State on Wednesday.
He faces charges including causing death through dangerous driving, reckless and negligent driving, operating a vehicle without proper care, and driving without a valid licence.

During the proceedings, prosecutors requested additional time to finalise their evidence. The court subsequently adjourned the matter until 13 March.
Kayode, who was appearing in court for the second time over the incident, has not yet entered a plea.
The crash occurred along the busy Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in south-west Nigeria, where Ayodele and Ghami were confirmed dead at the scene.
