Pep Guardiola insists Manchester City will give everything to overturn their 3-0 first-leg deficit against Real Madrid when the Spanish giants visit the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday.
Eko Hot Blog gathered that City suffered a heavy defeat in Madrid, with Federico Valverde’s hat-trick giving the 15-time European champions a commanding advantage heading into the second leg.

Despite the daunting task, Guardiola wants his players to maintain belief, take a positive approach, and attempt the improbable comeback.

“We have to try. What have we got to lose?” Guardiola said. “No one in this room would bet on us to come back against Madrid. History says Madrid never lose a 3-0 lead with 15 Champions League titles. It’s a tough result, but we will fight.”
City’s recent form in March has been mixed, with one win, two draws, and one loss from four matches across competitions.
They drew 2-2 with Nottingham Forest, progressed 3-1 at Newcastle in the FA Cup, lost 3-0 to Real Madrid, and drew 1-1 at West Ham, with Konstantinos Mavropanos canceling out Bernardo Silva’s opener.
Reflecting on his team’s struggles, Guardiola highlighted missed opportunities in attack and lapses in defense. “In many games, including the Bernabeu, we created chances but failed to finish.

We were in the box with five or six players, but missed simple opportunities. Defensively, we also made mistakes,” he explained.
Looking ahead, Guardiola emphasized the importance of improving across the remaining fixtures. “We have eight Premier League games left and need to finish the season strong in the league, FA Cup, and Europe.
The quicker we improve, the better for now and next season. I like my team, and we will continue fighting until the end,” he added.
