Iran’s Natanz Nuclear Facility Struck Amid US-Israel Attacks

Iran’s Natanz nuclear facility was hit during recent U.S. and Israeli military operations, Tehran’s representative to the UN nuclear watchdog confirmed on Monday.

Speaking at a meeting of the board of governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Eko Hot Blog gatherd thst Iran’s envoy Reza Najafi accused the two countries of targeting what he described as peaceful nuclear sites under international safeguards.

The strike comes amid renewed tensions surrounding Iran’s nuclear programme. In June, the United States launched attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities, arguing they were linked to efforts to develop nuclear weapons. Tehran has consistently denied the allegation, insisting its programme is strictly for civilian use.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said the country would restore any damaged infrastructure. During a visit to Iran’s atomic energy organisation, he stated that rebuilding facilities would not deter Tehran and reaffirmed that Iran does not seek to produce nuclear arms.

According to him, the programme is focused on medical research, healthcare, and other domestic needs.

U.S. President Donald Trump has previously warned that further military action could follow if Iran attempts to resume activities at sites targeted in the earlier strikes.

Grossi noted that the agency possesses detailed knowledge of nuclear and radiological materials in the region and stands ready to assist in the event of an emergency.

He also highlighted that several West Asian nations operate nuclear facilities, which increases the risks during periods of military confrontation, and called for maximum restraint from all parties involved.
