According to him, the team is entering a decisive phase of the campaign and must be ready to rise to the challenge.

PSG will host Chelsea in Paris on Wednesday, marking their first meeting since the English side defeated the French champions 3–0 in the FIFA Club World Cup final last July.
That defeat was one of the few setbacks during an otherwise historic season for PSG, who secured their first Champions League title in the club’s history.
However, the demanding schedule of last season has taken a toll on the squad, with several players struggling with form and fitness during the current campaign.
The Paris club recently suffered a 3–1 home loss to AS Monaco, leaving them only one point ahead of RC Lens at the top of Ligue 1.

Their Champions League journey this season has also been challenging. PSG finished 11th in the league phase after winning just one of their last five matches before narrowly overcoming Monaco in the play-off round.
Despite these struggles, Enrique believes facing a strong opponent like Chelsea could motivate his players to deliver their best performance.
He noted that English teams are always highly competitive and acknowledged that PSG already know the challenge Chelsea presents.

Chelsea are now managed by Liam Rosenior, whom Enrique praised for promoting an attacking and entertaining style of football during his time in France with Strasbourg.
The PSG manager also said that defending the Champions League title may not be as difficult mentally as winning it for the first time, although he admitted that retaining the trophy remains a major challenge.
According to him, the team knows it has the ability to win the competition again and will aim to prove it as the tournament progresses.
