The Lagos Bus Services Limited has arraigned two of its bus captains over an alleged fuel siphoning incident.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Idowu Oguntona, said the incident happened on March 10 and came to light after a concerned citizen recorded and reported it.

According to a statement by the company’s spokesperson, Afolabi Olawale, the suspects were quickly identified, arrested, and handed over to security agencies for investigation.
Oguntona reiterated the company’s zero-tolerance stance on fraud and misconduct, noting that the suspects were arraigned before a Lagos Mobile Court on March 12.
He added that they have since been remanded at the Kirikiri Correctional Facility pending their next court hearing scheduled for April 22.

The CEO stressed that the organisation remains committed to accountability, transparency, and strict adherence to operational standards.
He also praised the citizen who reported the incident, describing public vigilance as crucial in protecting the integrity of Lagos State’s transport system.
