- Dangote Group hosts HEIP programme in Ibeju-Lekki
- 442 students receive scholarships across secondary and tertiary levels
- Over 3,700 pupils benefit from educational materials distribution
The Dangote Group has reaffirmed its commitment to education and youth empowerment with the successful hosting of the Dangote Holistic Education Intervention Programme (HEIP) in Ibeju-Lekki, positively impacting thousands of students across host communities.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the programme, which featured the 6th Edition of the Dangote Scholarship Award, saw a total of 442 students, comprising 410 secondary school students and 32 tertiary students, receive scholarships aimed at supporting their academic journeys.
In addition, over 3,700 pupils benefited from the distribution of essential educational materials, including school bags, uniforms, and sandals.
Speaking at the event, the Executive Chairman of Lekki Local Council Development Area, Rasaki Bamidele Kasali, commended the Dangote Group for its sustained investment in human capital development within the Lekki axis.
“The Dangote Group has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to uplifting host communities through impactful educational initiatives.
This programme is not only commendable but also transformative for the future of our young people,” he stated.
He further encouraged the organization to broaden its reach, urging that more communities benefit from such interventions, while advising students to remain dedicated and disciplined in their studies.
The event attracted key stakeholders, including the Onilekki of Lekki, Oba Liasim Ogunbekun, alongside other traditional rulers and dignitaries.
Also present was Devakuma Edwin, Vice President, Oil and Gas at the Dangote Group, as well as government officials and education stakeholders.
The Dangote HEIP initiative continues to serve as a strategic platform for improving access to quality education, promoting academic excellence, and fostering long-term socio-economic development within host communities.
