Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu has congratulated Muslims in Lagos State and across Nigeria on the successful completion of Ramadan and the celebration of Eid-el-Fitr, urging them to continue living by the values of generosity, gratitude, and care for the less privileged.
Eko Hot Blog reports that in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Gboyega Akosile, the governor praised the dedication and sacrifices shown by Muslim faithful during the holy month, describing Ramadan as a key pillar of discipline and spiritual growth in Islam.

Sanwo-Olu encouraged Muslims to sustain the virtues of compassion, peaceful coexistence, and devotion cultivated during the fasting period. He also called for continued harmony among people of different faiths in Lagos State.

“I join millions around the world to wish our Muslim brothers and sisters Eid Mubarak. We thank God for granting us the opportunity to witness the holy month and celebrate Eid-el-Fitr,” he said.
The governor further urged Nigerians to pray for peace, unity, and stability in the country, stressing the importance of collective responsibility in nation-building. He called on citizens to seek divine guidance for leaders and work together in promoting justice and the common good.
Sanwo-Olu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to building an inclusive and peaceful society, while encouraging residents to contribute to the continued growth and development of Lagos State and Nigeria.
Eid-el-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan, a period of fasting, prayer, and reflection observed by Muslims worldwide.
