EKO HOT BLOG reports that Isak, who joined Liverpool FC for a club-record fee, has been sidelined since December after suffering a fractured leg and undergoing ankle surgery.
The Sweden international made 16 appearances and scored three goals before the injury disrupted his debut season at Anfield.
Providing an update on his recovery, Slot said the striker is now in a positive condition after months of rehabilitation.
“I think Alex is in a really good place because Sweden qualified for the World Cup and, apart from that, he’s going to train with the group again for the first time tomorrow,” Slot said.
“If you’ve worked so hard for three, four months or something like that and then to return to team training, that’s very nice for everyone. So Alex is, in that sense, in a good place.”
Isak’s return comes as Liverpool prepare for a crucial FA Cup quarter-final against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.
The 26-year-old striker moved from Newcastle United in September but saw his early momentum halted following the injury sustained against Tottenham Hotspur.

He suffered a fibula fracture and ankle damage after a challenge by Micky van de Ven while scoring in a 2-1 win on December 20.
