Affected routes include King George V Road at the Mobil Filling Station junction, Onikan Roundabout inbound to TBS, Flagstaff House inbound to TBS, Outer Marina by State House inbound to TBS, Campbell Street by the Old Defence Building, and Catholic Mission Street near St. Nicholas Hospital.
Authorities explained that the diversion is necessary to guarantee public safety and create enough space for carnival activities, which typically attract large crowds.
The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority has provided alternative routes for motorists.

Vehicles heading from Obalende towards Onikan Roundabout will be redirected to Zone 2, while those coming from Bonny Camp towards McEwen Bridge, as well as traffic from Flagstaff House, will be diverted through Obalende Bridge.
Motorists from Outer Marina heading toward TBS will also be rerouted via Obalende Bridge.
Residents and commuters have been advised to plan their movements ahead and use alternative routes to avoid delays.
The government apologised for any inconvenience caused and urged the public to cooperate with traffic officials as preparations continue for the vibrant cultural celebration.
