Eko Hot Blog reports that Epe Division witnessed a moment of renewed hope and commitment to community development as the prestigious Epe Ogunmodede Club elected its new Executive Committee for the 2026–2028 tenure.

Widely regarded as the “mother club” of Epe, the Ogunmodede Club has long been a pillar of unity, social advancement, and cultural preservation.

At the helm of the new leadership is Sanuth Jafar Babatunde, who assumes office as President. In his acceptance speech, he said, “We are honored to lead this great club.
Our mission is to build on the rich legacy of Ogunmodede by fostering unity, initiating impactful programs, and ensuring that the voices of our community are heard and represented.”

Supporting him is a team of accomplished professionals including:
- Vice President: Abbas Qudus
- General Secretary: Barr. Amuni Olayinka
- Social/Welfare Secretary: Bakare Mashood
- Financial Secretary: Abaniwonda Ismaila
- Treasurer: Chief Ekemode Adetola
- House Officer: Olanrewaju Hamad
- Provost/Chief Whip: Hon. (Arch) Chief Anifowoshe Wasiu Abiola
- Ex-Officio: Barr Ibrahim Omodele
During the ceremony, members expressed high expectations for the new leadership. Alh. Bakare Mashood, Social/Welfare Secretary, said, “Our focus is on creating programs that will touch lives directly, supporting youths, promoting education, and ensuring social welfare remains a priority.”

Barr. Amuni Olayinka, General Secretary, added, “We are here not just to hold titles, but to make tangible impacts. Unity, transparency, and community engagement will guide every decision we take.”

The election is widely seen as a reinvigoration of the club’s mission to strengthen community ties, enhance development initiatives, and serve as a model for other socio-cultural organizations across Lagos State.

Members and stakeholders alike have voiced optimism that the new executive will bring innovation, dedication, and sustained progress to Epe Division.
