Speaking at the service themed “God of Hope, Actualise Our Dreams,” Tinubu also assured Nigerians that his administration remained committed to addressing the economic difficulties facing citizens while intensifying efforts to improve security across the country.
The event was attended by prominent government officials, including Godswill Akpabio, Benjamin Kalu, Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu and Mrs. Didi Walson-Jack.
In his message, the President congratulated Nigerians on 27 years of uninterrupted democratic governance since 1999, describing the achievement as a reflection of the resilience and sacrifices of citizens who fought for the restoration of democracy.
He paid tribute to heroes of the June 12 struggle, noting that many pro-democracy activists suffered persecution, injuries and even death in their quest to enthrone democratic rule in the country.
Tinubu acknowledged the challenges confronting the nation, including economic hardship, insecurity, kidnappings and the displacement of communities, stressing that the government is fully aware of the pains being experienced by Nigerians.

“The government is sensitive to all these pains, shares in these pains and has heard your cries,” he said.
The President assured citizens that his administration is tackling the challenges with compassion, determination and a strong sense of responsibility.
Addressing security concerns, Tinubu described recent attacks and abductions across parts of the country as painful reminders that more work remains to be done. He, however, pledged that efforts to secure the release of all persons currently in captivity remain a top priority.
According to him, security agencies are being provided with the resources and support required to protect lives and property, secure communities and safeguard Nigeria’s territorial integrity.
“The government of Nigeria shall never succumb to terror, banditry or any form of criminal intimidation,” the President declared.
