President Bola Tinubu on Monday showered praises on the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, describing him as “Mr Fix It” and “Mr Project” for what he called his impressive delivery of infrastructure projects in Abuja.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the President made the remarks during the commissioning of the newly completed Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal as part of activities marking the third anniversary of his administration.

Tinubu, who was represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, said he was confident Wike would deliver results when he appointed him as FCT Minister.
Speaking at the event in Dakibiu, Abuja, the President said the new court complex represents more than a physical structure, describing it as a symbol of the administration’s commitment to strengthening the rule of law under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
“It is with great pride that I stand here in Dakibiu to commission the Court of Appeal, Abuja Division complex. This is not just a building; it is a statement that under the Renewed Hope Agenda, the rule of law will have a befitting home,” he said.
Tinubu recalled that the Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal had operated for years from a temporary and inadequate facility, a situation he described as unacceptable for a nation that seeks justice.

“For too long, the Abuja Division of this court operated from a cramped temporary space, and that was unacceptable. A nation that seeks justice must respect the temple of justice.
“When I visited and saw the condition, I gave a simple directive: ‘Fix it.’ Today, we have fixed it,” he stated.
The President specifically commended Wike for delivering the project within the agreed timeline, noting that construction commenced shortly after approval was granted.
“Let me specially commend the Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike, for truly being Mr Project and Mr Fix It.
“When I appointed you as Minister of the FCT, I knew you would not sleep. You took the assignment to deliver this project in May 2024, and by July contractors were already on site.
“You promised delivery within 16 months and you fulfilled that promise. No excuses, no variation, and you delivered in record time. Nigerians can see the difference. Well done, Wike,” Tinubu said.
