Represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, Tinubu commended Ekiti residents for their continued support for the APC and praised Oyebanji’s style of leadership, which he said is rooted in service, humility and respect for the people.
According to the President, true leadership is about improving the lives of citizens rather than intimidating or suppressing them.
Tinubu noted that Oyebanji’s relationship with traditional rulers, political leaders and residents across the state had contributed to his growing popularity.
He pointed to the absence of visible opposition campaign materials in many parts of the state as evidence of the governor’s widespread acceptance.
“On Saturday, go out and re-elect this humble and peaceful man to further serve you better,” Shettima said while delivering the President’s message.
The President also symbolically handed Oyebanji over to former governors and former first ladies present at the rally, charging them to ensure his victory at the polls.

Chairman of the APC National Campaign Council and Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani, described the governor’s popularity as overwhelming and said the massive turnout at the rally reflected the support he enjoys across Ekiti.
Similarly, Chairman of the APC Governors Forum and Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, said the APC remained the most visible political party in the state, adding that its grassroots campaign strategy had strengthened its connection with voters.
APC National Chairman, Nentawe Yilwatda, maintained that the party’s confidence ahead of the election was based on Oyebanji’s performance and acceptance among the people rather than the advantages of incumbency.
In his response, Governor Biodun Oyebanji thanked party leaders and supporters for their confidence in his administration.
The governor said his re-election bid was built on his record in office and the promises he had fulfilled since assuming office in 2022.
Joined by his wife, Olayemi Oyebanji, and Deputy Governor Monisade Afuye, Oyebanji pledged to sustain the pace of development in the state and promised that a second term would deliver even greater achievements.
He also appealed to residents to maintain peace before, during and after the election, assuring them that his administration would remain focused on improving the welfare of Ekiti people.
