The Oloja and Paramount Ruler of Epeland, Oba Kamorudeen Ishola Animashaun, Arolugbade Elepe II, has called for the preservation of Yoruba culture and traditions as he felicitated with the people of Epeland and Yoruba sons and daughters across the world on Isese Day 2026.

Eko Hot Blog reports that in his message, the monarch described Isese as a celebration of the Yoruba people’s cultural identity, history, values, traditions and ancestral heritage.
He urged the people to use the celebration to reconnect with their roots and ensure that their cultural heritage remains relevant for generations yet unborn.
According to him, preserving culture is a collective responsibility that requires the commitment of both the older and younger generations.
“Isese is a celebration of our rich Yoruba cultural heritage, traditions, values, history, identity, and ancestral legacy,” he said.
The Oloja further called for unity and peaceful coexistence among the people, noting that a united community would be better positioned to protect and promote its cultural heritage.
He prayed for peace, wisdom, prosperity, good health and progress in Epeland and across Yoruba communities.
“May the spirit of unity and peaceful coexistence strengthen our people, while our cultural heritage continues to flourish and receive the respect it deserves,” Oba Animashaun said.
The monarch extended his warm felicitations to all Yoruba people at home and in the diaspora and wished them a memorable celebration.
“Happy Isese Day 2026! Ìṣẹ̀ṣe a gbé wa o! Àṣẹ!” he declared.
