The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has published the names of candidates submitted by the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 General Elections, with prominent political figures from Epe Division emerging as the party’s flag bearers for key legislative positions.
Eko Hot Blog reports that according to the list released by INEC on June 20, 2026, the member representing Epe Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Mustain Abiodun Tobun, has been submitted as the APC candidate for Epe Constituency I.
Similarly, Hon. Sylvester Oluwadahunsi Ogunkelu was listed as the APC candidate for Epe Constituency II in the Lagos State House of Assembly election.
The publication also confirmed the submission of Hon. Wale Raji, the current member representing Epe Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, as the APC candidate for the Epe Federal Constituency seat ahead of the 2027 general election.
The development has generated excitement among APC supporters and political stakeholders across Epe Division, as the trio remain notable figures within the political landscape of the division.
Hon. Tobun, who currently represents Epe Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly, has been widely recognized for his legislative interventions and constituency development initiatives.
Likewise, Hon. Ogunkelu, representing Epe Constituency II, has maintained an active presence in community engagement, youth empowerment, and legislative representation within his constituency.
At the federal level, Hon. Wale Raji continues to serve as the representative of Epe Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives and currently chairs the House Committee on Livestock Development.
The publication by INEC was made pursuant to Section 85(1) of the Electoral Act 2022, which requires political parties to submit and publicly display the names of candidates nominated for elective offices.
Political observers believe the emergence of the three candidates reflects the APC’s confidence in their leadership capacity and electoral strength within Epe Division.
