Animashaun, FHTI, has called on residents to actively participate in the Monthly Environmental Sanitation Exercise scheduled for Saturday, June 27, 2026, as part of ongoing efforts to promote a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable environment.
Eko Hot Blog reports that in a public awareness message, the Chairman stressed that environmental sanitation remains a shared civic responsibility that plays a vital role in preventing disease outbreaks, protecting public health, and enhancing the overall appearance of communities.
She urged landlords, tenants, traders, artisans, transport operators, business owners, religious institutions, and community associations to use the sanitation period, from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., to thoroughly clean their homes, business premises, drainage channels, and surrounding environment.
Hon. Animashaun also appealed to residents to cooperate with environmental and law enforcement officials who will monitor compliance during the exercise, noting that collective participation is essential to achieving a cleaner and safer Epe.
Reaffirming her administration’s commitment to environmental sustainability, the Chairman encouraged residents to make cleanliness a daily habit and not just a monthly exercise.
She concluded by reminding residents that a clean environment promotes healthy living, supports community development, and contributes to the overall prosperity of Epe.
