EKO HOT BLOG reports that Justice Dirisu Khobo delivered the ruling on Monday, holding that the application failed to satisfy the legal requirements for the grant of bail.
The court ruled that El-Rufai did not provide sufficient credible evidence or supporting documents to justify his release while facing trial.
Justice Khobo also held that the defence failed to establish the existence of any special circumstances that would warrant granting bail before the conclusion of the case.
Consequently, the court dismissed the application.
Despite refusing the bail request, the judge directed the ICPC to grant the former governor unrestricted access to his doctors or any medical facility of his choice within Nigeria whenever he requires medical attention during his detention.
The court further ordered that El-Rufai remain in the custody of the anti-corruption agency until the next stage of the proceedings.
Justice Khobo subsequently adjourned the case to July 7 and July 8 for the continuation of the hearing.

El-Rufai is standing trial on a nine count charge bordering on alleged abuse of office and other related offences.
