Leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress in Lagos State have thrown their weight behind Kadri Obafemi Hamzat by endorsing his Nomination Form ahead of the party’s 2027 governorship primaries.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the endorsement, which took place over two days, saw about 120 party leaders and members from the 20 Local Government Areas and 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) sign the form in support of Hamzat’s candidacy.

Those who appended their signatures include members of the Governance Advisory Council, local government chairmen, current and former public office holders, as well as party executives across the state.
Party stakeholders expressed confidence in Hamzat’s leadership capacity, pledging their support as he heads into the party’s primary election scheduled for next month.
Hamzat, who is already the APC’s consensus candidate, has also secured backing from Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, alongside key party leaders across the state.
His candidacy gained further momentum following the decision of fellow aspirant Abdul-Azeez Adediran to step down in his favour. Former governor Akinwunmi Ambode also congratulated Hamzat on emerging as the party’s consensus choice.
