The first major intervention occurred in the Dogon Dawa axis of Shiroro Local Government Area in Niger State, a region that has long grappled with the menace of armed banditry.
The military acted on high-grade intelligence, which was corroborated by reliable human intelligence sources on the ground, indicating a massive convergence of over 200 suspected terrorists traveling on motorcycles.
Subsequent aerial surveillance successfully confirmed the presence of the heavily armed groups as they gathered at a suspected refueling location.
Seizing the opportunity, the Air Component launched a precision airstrike against the gathering.
A Battle Damage Assessment later confirmed that multiple terrorists were neutralized during the raid, while surviving elements were seen fleeing in panic toward the Kurugin Maidawa axis with varying degrees of injuries.
The operation effectively dismantled their immediate plans, degraded their operational capacity, and prevented them from regrouping for further assaults.
In a parallel operation, the military intercepted another threat in the Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State during an Armed Reconnaissance mission. Intelligence reports had revealed that armed bandits were actively mobilizing to launch reprisal attacks against troops following recent successful clearance operations in the Womba general area.
During the aerial mission, the Air Component spotted and intercepted three motorcycles carrying suspected bandits heading toward the dense Kamuku Forest.
Upon realizing they had been detected by the aircraft, the suspects attempted to evade tracking, but their movement was successfully thwarted.
Follow-up reconnaissance missions carried out in close coordination with ground forces showed no further suspicious movements in the area.

The Theater Commander praised the exceptional professionalism, synergy, and seamless cooperation demonstrated by both the Air and Land Components during these missions.
He reassured the public that Operation FANSAN YAMMA remains fully committed to sustaining aggressive offensive operations across the region until all remaining terrorist and bandit enclaves are completely dismantled, ensuring that lasting peace and security are permanently restored to the affected communities.
This successful operation underscores the rising effectiveness of integrated military strategies in reclaiming stability across the North-West.
