EKO HOT BLOG reports that the 35-year-old Wales international has joined the Red Devils as the club’s new backup goalkeeper after signing a contract that will keep him at Old Trafford until June 2028, with the option of a further one-year extension.
Confirming the signing in a statement, Manchester United said:
“Manchester United are delighted to confirm the arrival of Karl Darlow, subject to the completion of registration formalities.
“The Wales international has signed a deal until June 2028, which includes an option for a one-year extension.”
Darlow arrives with extensive experience, having made 279 senior appearances during his professional career, including 74 matches in the Premier League.
The veteran shot-stopper spent last season as Leeds United’s first-choice goalkeeper, where he kept five clean sheets and played a key role between the posts.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are continuing their recruitment drive as they seek to reinforce their midfield before the new campaign.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the club remains in the market for another midfielder despite already completing deals for Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans.
Santos has already been unveiled following his move from Chelsea, while Tielemans has completed his medical and is expected to be officially announced in the coming days.

The report added that United are keen to add another defensive midfielder, with Casemiro expected to leave the club before the close of the transfer window.
The Premier League giants believe additional reinforcements in midfield are necessary as they continue preparations for the new season and look to build a squad capable of competing across all competitions.
