Government officials received the returnees at the airport, where they underwent the necessary arrival and documentation procedures before reuniting with their families.
The evacuation followed a wave of xenophobic attacks targeting foreign nationals, including Nigerians, in South Africa.
The attacks reportedly claimed the lives of some Nigerians, while many others were left stranded after their homes and businesses were attacked and looted.
The arrival of the final batch officially concludes the government’s emergency evacuation operation for Nigerians affected by the violence.
