The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has announced that 26 cargo vessels carrying petroleum products, food items and other commodities are expected to arrive at Apapa Port, Tin Can Island Port and Lekki Deep Sea Port in Lagos between July 21 and July 26.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the disclosure was contained in the authority’s Daily Shipping Position released on Tuesday.

According to the NPA, 11 of the incoming vessels are container ships transporting assorted goods into the country.
The remaining 15 vessels are expected to deliver various cargoes, including premium motor spirit (petrol), crude oil, automotive gas oil (diesel), aviation fuel, bulk wheat, bulk urea, fresh fish, trucks and general cargo, while some ships are scheduled for repair works.
The authority also disclosed that 16 vessels have already arrived at the three ports and are currently awaiting berthing.
The ships are carrying cargoes such as petrol, bulk wheat, general cargo, bulk fertiliser, diesel, bulk urea, containers, bulk pallets and bulk sugar.
In addition, the NPA said 25 vessels are currently discharging cargoes at the ports.
The ongoing operations involve the offloading of bulk wheat, containers, general cargo, petrol, diesel, crude oil, aviation fuel, bulk gypsum, bulk sugar and bulk gas, among other commodities.
The shipping activities form part of routine port operations aimed at facilitating the movement of imports and supporting commercial activities across the country.
