- Jandor: No Party Can Displace APC in Lagos
- Adediran noted that for the PDP to challenge the APC in Lagos, it would require serious grassroots mobilization
- “APC as a party in Lagos State has over the years built strong grassroots structures. The party is a household name in every community.”
A former governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, Mr Abdul Azeez Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, has said the party stands no chance of winning elections in the state due to its weak grassroots presence.
Eko Hot Blog reports that Adediran made this statement on Saturday after casting his vote in the state council election at Polling Unit 001, Ward D, Irewe — a riverine community in the Ojo area.

Jandor now a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Adediran noted that for the PDP to challenge the APC in Lagos, it would require serious grassroots mobilization.
However, he added that he doesn’t see any party unseating the APC in the state now or in the foreseeable future.

“While in the PDP we came with fresh ideas and we did our best, but could not make headway because PDP as a party is rarely known at the grassroots.
“APC as a party in Lagos State has over the years built strong grassroots structures. The party is a household name in every community.
“Based on this, people like us, with host of followers, joined the train to build on the legacies of previous leaders rather than stay in opposition,” he said.
