Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have arrested a Nigerian Army soldier declared wanted over his alleged involvement in supplying military uniforms and other accoutrements to terrorist groups operating in the North East.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the arrest was disclosed by security analyst Zagazola Makama in a post shared on X.

According to Makama, the suspect, identified as Private Mohammed Yusuf of the Nigerian Army Ordnance Training Facility (NAOTF), Lagos, was arrested at about 6:30 p.m. on July 25, 2026, by troops of the 7 Provost Group led by the Acting Commander.
Preliminary investigations reportedly revealed that the soldier absconded from his unit before travelling to Maiduguri on July 7, 2026, where he allegedly went into hiding after he was declared wanted by the Nigerian Army.
The investigation also alleged that Yusuf was sheltered in the Gomari Costain area of Jere Local Government Area, Borno State, by Private Baba Kamal Sale of the Corps of Intelligence, Dikwa.
Acting on credible intelligence, troops reportedly placed the suspect under round the clock surveillance before arresting him at Jidari Bus Stop while he was allegedly attempting to flee to neighbouring Cameroon.
Makama said the suspect is currently in the custody of the 7 Provost Group, where investigators are probing allegations that he supplied military uniforms to terrorist elements and determining whether other individuals were involved.
He described the arrest as a major breakthrough in efforts to dismantle insider networks allegedly aiding terrorist groups, adding that investigations are ongoing to establish the full extent of the suspect’s activities and identify any accomplices.
