Anambra State-born pharmacist turned actor, Chimsom Chuka, has etched his name into the history books of Big Brother Naija Season 11 by emerging as the very first Head of House (HoH) of the brand-new season.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the 27-year-old contestant secured the coveted position after putting up a dominant physical performance in the season’s inaugural Head of House challenge held on Monday, the first official full day of competition for the housemates.

The high-stakes obstacle challenge was divided into gender-based rounds, with the male housemates battling against one another in a rigorous physical course, while the female contestants competed in a separate bracket.
Upon the completion of both rounds, Big Brother evaluated the recorded times across the board, officially declaring Chimsom as the overall winner for clocking the fastest time among all 24 housemates.
Finishing closely behind Chimsom was Abi, a chef and model representing Osun State, who posted the second-best time in the arena. Consequently, Big Brother designated Abi as the Deputy Head of House for the week.
While the victory grants Chimsom absolute immunity from the week’s nomination and potential eviction, the organizers of the reality flagship show introduced a shocking strategic twist that immediately altered traditional Head of House privileges.
Unlike past editions where the Head of House automatically moved into the luxury suite equipped with private amenities, Big Brother revealed that occupancy of the Head of House loft would now be decoupled from the title itself.
To determine who would enjoy the private quarters, Chimsom was instructed to draw a name from a designated yellow lucky dip box.
The draw selected fellow housemate Tram, who was instantly awarded exclusive access to the Head of House lounge for the week.
In accordance with the rules of the twist, Tram was permitted to select a companion to share the luxurious apartment with him, choosing female housemate Sheba.
Despite missing out on the physical luxury of the HoH suite, Chimsom maintains the core strategic advantages of the title, including total immunity from eviction, leadership authority over house tasks, and special administrative treats provided by Big Brother.
The novel rule change has already ignited strategic discussions among viewers and contestants alike, effectively separating safety in the game from residential luxury.
Prior to his entry into the Big Brother Naija house, the multi-talented 27-year-old pharmacist and actor described himself as a grounded, composed individual capable of remaining calm under intense mental and emotional pressure.

The ongoing season, themed “Show Ya Sef,” features 24 contestants vying for an ultimate grand prize worth ₦160 million in cash and gifts over the course of a 10-week competition.
Following the conclusion of the Head of House game and the lucky dip draw, the remaining housemates proceeded to the diary room to participate in the season’s first official nomination process.
With Chimsom immune from nominations, the remaining 23 housemates face intense scrutiny as the household navigates the initial alliances, personality clashes, and eviction threats of the season.
