The Executive Chairman of Eredo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, has been commended for his achievements and people-oriented initiatives as his administration marks its first year in office.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the commendation was contained in a message by the Supervisor for Works and Infrastructure, Hon. Opetuga Bayo Olamilekan, who described the past 365 days as a period of purposeful leadership, dedication and transformative impact across Eredo LCDA.
Opetuga noted that the Akinloye administration had demonstrated a commitment to improving the welfare of residents through interventions spanning education, healthcare, infrastructure, environmental sanitation, youth development, women empowerment and social welfare.
He said the administration’s efforts in education had continued to create opportunities for students and young people, while interventions in healthcare were contributing to improved access to essential services across communities.
The Supervisor also highlighted infrastructure development as one of the administration’s key areas of focus, noting that projects and interventions across the LCDA were contributing to the improvement of communities and strengthening grassroots development.
On environmental sustainability, Opetuga commended the administration for promoting cleaner and healthier communities through sanitation initiatives and efforts to encourage residents to take responsibility for their environment.
He further praised the administration’s youth and women empowerment initiatives, saying the programmes had provided opportunities for residents to develop their skills, become self-reliant and contribute meaningfully to the local economy.
According to him, the Chairman’s people-centred approach also extends to vulnerable groups, including elderly residents, widows and other members of the community in need of support.
“Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye has demonstrated that true leadership is about selfless service and delivering meaningful results that positively impact the lives of the people. Within just one year, his administration has laid a strong foundation for sustainable development across every sector of the council,” Opetuga said.
He described Akinloye as “a visionary leader, a builder of people, a servant-leader, a compassionate administrator, and a worthy ambassador of grassroots governance.”
The Supervisor also commended the Chairman for promoting peace, unity and inclusiveness across Eredo LCDA, noting that effective grassroots governance requires the involvement and cooperation of residents and stakeholders.
As the administration marks its first year, Opetuga expressed confidence that Akinloye would record greater accomplishments in the remaining years of his tenure.
He prayed for continued wisdom, strength, sound health and divine guidance for the Chairman, while wishing the administration more success in its efforts to improve the lives of residents.
“Congratulations on 365 Days of Excellence. Your purposeful leadership and countless impacts have written a memorable chapter in the history of Eredo LCDA, and we pray that your best years of service are still ahead,” he added.
