Iran has outlined six conditions for any future diplomatic engagement with the United States, including an end to military threats and the lifting of sanctions, as tensions between the two countries remain high.
Eko Hot Blog gathered that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Tehran is not currently engaged in direct negotiations with Washington but is communicating through intermediaries as efforts continue to create an environment for formal talks.

He said any return to negotiations would depend on Washington addressing Iran’s concerns and ending what Tehran considers hostile policies.
The conditions come amid heightened tensions following the recent conflict involving Iran, Israel and the United States, with Iranian officials warning that continued military pressure could make diplomacy more difficult.
Iranian authorities have also maintained a firm military posture, with Brigadier General Ali Jahanshahi, commander of the Iranian Army’s ground forces, warning that US troops would face a strong response if they attempted a ground invasion.
He said Iranian forces remained on full alert and were closely monitoring developments along the country’s borders.
Meanwhile, discussions between Iran and Oman over possible arrangements for maritime movement through the Strait of Hormuz have progressed, according to Araghchi.
The Iranian foreign minister said technical talks were nearing completion on possible alternative maritime routes, although he stressed that this did not mean the strategic waterway was immediately reopening.
He explained that the proposed routes would replace existing passages once the relevant conditions for reopening the strait had been met.
The diplomatic developments are unfolding as regional tensions continue to spread. Yemen’s Houthi movement has claimed responsibility for attacks on the Red Sea port of Al-Makha and an oil facility in Saudi Arabia’s Jizan province.
The latest developments have increased pressure on regional governments and international mediators seeking to prevent further escalation and create a path towards negotiations between Tehran and Washington.
For now, Iran maintains that meaningful talks with the US will require guarantees that its security and sovereignty will be respected and that punitive measures against the country will end.
