- The shirt’s fabric directly weaves together seven active odor-fighting elements, copper, silver, zinc, gold, volcanic ash, and two proprietary components, to neutralize sweat compounds and destroy odor-causing bacteria.
- Shipping in November 2026, the flagship 30-day version is priced at $79, with lower-tier options offered at $39 for three-day wear and $69 for 14-day wear.
United States-based clothing company HercLeon has introduced its latest textile innovation, the HercShirt V5.0, a self-cleaning T-shirt engineered to remain fresh and odor-free for up to 30 days without needing a single wash.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the announcement follows the brand’s previous high-profile release of self-cleaning underwear and has generated widespread debate among consumers and textile experts regarding its practicality in hot, humid climates.

According to technical specifications released during its Kickstarter campaign, the HercShirt V5.0 moves away from temporary surface treatments.
Instead, the fabric incorporates seven specialized functional ingredients directly into the weave.

Copper acts to suppress odor-causing bacterial growth, zinc neutralizes harsh sulfur compounds produced during heavy perspiration, and porous volcanic ash functions like a micro-sponge to absorb moisture and ambient odors.
The remaining two elements are kept as trade secrets. By drastically reducing laundering frequency, the firm claims the garment significantly outlasts conventional cotton T-shirts.
Initial shipments are scheduled to launch in early November 2026, debuting exclusively in black before rolling out secondary colors, including navy blue, dark green, and burgundy, in early 2027.
To cater to different consumer needs, HercLeon is offering three tiers: the premium $79 model rated for 30 days, a standard $69 version designed for up to 14 days, and an entry-level $39 budget option built to stay fresh through three days of heavy use.
