- Chelsea view João Pedro as part of their long term plans
Chelsea have secured João Pedro’s long term future after the Brazilian forward signed a new contract that will keep him at Stamford Bridge until June 2032.
The 24 year old has agreed improved terms after Chelsea completed the necessary paperwork for the new deal.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the contract also contains an option that could extend his stay at the club beyond 2032.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the development in a post on X on Wednesday, August 19.
“João Pedro puts pen to paper and signs new Chelsea deal until June 2032, documents approved. The Brazilian stays and gets a salary rise while new contract also includes an option to extend beyond 2032,” Romano said.
João Pedro welcomed the new agreement, saying he was pleased to remain at Chelsea and become part of the club’s long term plans.
“I’m very happy to continue my journey with Chelsea. This is a club with huge ambitions, and I want to be part of what we are building here. I feel at home, and I’m excited about the future,” he said.
João Pedro joined Chelsea from Brighton in 2025 and quickly established himself as an important player in the club’s attack.
The Brazilian forward scored 20 goals last season and added seven more during pre season.
He also scored twice in Chelsea’s 3 1 victory over Real Sociedad during their pre season campaign.
Chelsea already had João Pedro tied to a long term contract, but the club decided to improve his salary rather than wait until the final years of his existing agreement.
The new deal further underlines Chelsea’s plans to build their attack around the Brazilian forward for the long term.
Meanwhile, Chelsea face greater uncertainty over some of their other forwards.

Nicolas Jackson continues to attract interest from other clubs, while Liam Delap could leave if a suitable offer arrives.
Emmanuel Emegha, however, is expected to remain with Chelsea’s first team squad.
