The governor also commended INEC for conducting the election, while appreciating residents of Osun and his supporters for backing his re-election bid.

He extended his gratitude to security agencies for maintaining order throughout the electoral process, particularly the Commissioner of Police for the election, CP Erale Etaifo.
Adeleke, however, said he believed the police could have done more during the election.
The governor reserved special praise for Tinubu, whom he described as “our father” and “Jagaban,” for allowing democracy to prevail in Osun. He also pledged to support the President’s bid for another term in office in 2027.
Reflecting on the campaign, Adeleke said he faced several attempts to frustrate his re-election but credited God for helping him emerge victorious.

He said the outcome had given him no reason to remain resentful towards his political opponents, adding that he had forgiven those who worked against him.
The governor subsequently appealed to his fellow contestants to put political differences aside and work with his administration for the development of Osun State.
Adeleke also announced plans to provide scholarships for the children of people who died during the electoral process, as part of his response to the losses recorded during the election.
