The Executive Chairman of Eredo Local Council Development Area, Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, has felicitated with residents of the council on the occasion of the 2026 Isese Day celebration.

Akinloye, in a goodwill message, described Isese Day as an important celebration of the rich cultural heritage, traditions and values of the Yoruba people.
He noted that the occasion provides an opportunity for the people to reflect on their cultural identity and the need to preserve their traditions for future generations.
According to him, cultural heritage remains an important part of community identity and can also promote unity, peaceful coexistence and mutual respect among the people.
“Today is a celebration of our culture, traditions, and the values that bind us together as a people. It is a reminder of the rich heritage we must continue to uphold, preserve, and pass on to future generations,” Akinloye said.
The council chairman urged residents to take pride in their cultural heritage while ensuring that the younger generation understands and appreciates the traditions passed down by their forebears.
He also prayed for continued peace, unity, wisdom and prosperity across Eredo LCDA, calling on residents to remain committed to building harmonious communities.
“May peace, unity, wisdom, and prosperity continue to reign in our communities. Let us take pride in our identity and remain steadfast in promoting harmony among all,” he added.
Akinloye extended his greetings to all sons and daughters of Eredo LCDA, wishing them a peaceful and memorable Isese Day celebration.
