The Lagos State Government has formally installed Prince Ibrahim Adebowale Saliu as the new Onise of Ise Kingdom in Lekki Local Government Area.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the government presented the monarch with the Staff of Office and Instrument of Appointment on Friday, formally commencing his reign as His Royal Majesty, Alaiyeluwa Oba Ibrahim Adebowale Saliu.

The presentation was performed by the Special Adviser to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Rural Development, Dr Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, alongside the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development, Mrs Kikelomo Bolarinwa.
The state government disclosed the development in a statement posted on its official X handle on Saturday.
The installation followed the approval of Governor Sanwo-Olu and the Lagos State Executive Council after the death of the former Onise of Ise Kingdom, Oba Ganiu Adebowale Adegbesan.
Speaking at the ceremony, Agbaje urged the new monarch to make peace, unity and inclusive development the foundation of his reign.
He also encouraged Oba Saliu to promote reconciliation among members of the various royal families and work towards the collective progress of Ise Kingdom.
Agbaje congratulated the monarch on his ascension and expressed confidence that his reign would contribute to peace and prosperity in the community.
Earlier, Bolarinwa welcomed traditional rulers and other dignitaries to the ceremony, commending Governor Sanwo-Olu for approving the presentation of the Staff of Office.
She said the gesture demonstrated the state government’s commitment to strengthening traditional institutions and promoting development at the grassroots.
The presentation of the Staff of Office and Instrument of Appointment officially marked the beginning of Oba Ibrahim Adebowale Saliu’s reign as the Onise of Ise Kingdom.
