According to NDLEA spokesman, Femi Babafemi, Ogunmabo told operatives that she ventured into the illicit drug trade after her provisions shop was destroyed by fire.
She reportedly said one of her daughters, who lives in Lagos, supplied the cannabis to her every four days, which she subsequently sold in small quantities.
Following her arrest, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the NDLEA, Brig. Gen. Buba Marwa (retd.), directed that the 101-year-old suspect be granted bail and placed on counselling because of her advanced age.
The agency also arrested the daughter allegedly linked to the supply of the illicit substance.
The NDLEA said the arrest was among several drug-related operations conducted across the country, resulting in the seizure of various illicit substances.
In Akwa Ibom, operatives intercepted a wooden boat allegedly transporting drugs to fishing settlements in Cameroon. Three suspects were arrested, with a combined 42.622kg of narcotics recovered, including skunk and cocaine.

The agency also announced its first reported seizure of illicit drugs shipped from Thailand through Nigeria’s maritime corridor.
Two containers intercepted at the Apapa and Lekki ports contained a combined 1,490.5kg of cannabis indica, popularly known as Loud, with an estimated street value of more than N4.4 billion.
In Ondo State, NDLEA operatives destroyed about 10,000kg of skunk cultivated on four hectares of farmland in Ijare forest, while another 210kg of skunk was recovered in Ita-Ogbolu.
The agency also reported the seizure of 24,410 tramadol capsules in the Federal Capital Territory, 73.3kg of skunk in Kano, 48kg of skunk in Lagos and various quantities of Loud, Colorado, tramadol and rohypnol in Abia.
Marwa commended officers involved in the operations and urged personnel across the country to sustain the agency’s drug-control efforts.
