EKO HOT BLOG reports that Dr. Ebong explained that the decision to halt the strike followed the intervention of the Nigerian Senate Committee on Federal Territory Area Councils & Ancillary Matters, as well as out of respect for the FCT Minister, Nyesome Wike.
However, he disclosed that the doctors’ demands have yet to be met.
“The Senate stepped in and promised to engage the minister on our behalf.
Although none of our issues have been addressed yet, we are hopeful the minister will listen because we hold him in high regard,” Dr. Ebong said.
