President Bola Tinubu has said his administration’s ongoing road projects are revitalising the economy by improving transportation, reducing congestion and creating better conditions for businesses to thrive.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the President made the remark on Monday during the commissioning of the rehabilitated and expanded road network stretching from Karu Interchange to Customs Clinic Junction, including adjoining roads in the Karu axis of the Federal Capital Territory.

The project forms part of activities marking the administration’s third anniversary.
Represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, Tinubu said the road project reflects the administration’s commitment to easing urban congestion and improving the quality of life for residents.

He recalled that the government had previously commissioned a water supply project for Karu and neighbouring communities, describing the latest infrastructure as another fulfilment of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
According to the President, the Karu corridor, a major gateway linking the FCT with neighbouring states, had for years suffered heavy traffic congestion that negatively affected productivity and the daily lives of commuters.
He said the rehabilitation and expansion of the roads go beyond infrastructure development, noting that the projects are designed to stimulate economic activities by reducing travel time, eliminating gridlock and creating an enabling environment for businesses.
Tinubu added that the upgraded road network also prioritises public safety through the installation of modern solar-powered streetlights along the corridor, improving visibility for motorists and enhancing security for road users, particularly at night.
