Fresh violence has erupted in Adamawa State, with reported attacks in Lafiya and Boshikiri villages located in Lamurde and Guyuk Local Government Areas.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the conflict, which has become a recurring issue during the farming season in these neighboring communities, resulted in the destruction of property on Wednesday.

In a statement released on Thursday, the Adamawa State Police Command condemned the incidents, referring to them as acts of “mischief by fire.”
According to the command’s spokesperson, Suleiman Nguroje, unknown individuals set fire to thatched huts in Lafiya (Lamurde LGA) and Boshikiri (Guyuk LGA), destroying property belonging to Mrs Ododumga Kenneth and Mr Nura Haruna.

The Commissioner of Police, Dankombo Morris, has ordered a thorough investigation and the immediate deployment of officers to prevent further violence and ensure those responsible are brought to justice.
He also warned that anyone found inciting violence or committing crimes will face strict legal consequences.
The police command urged residents to remain calm, cooperate with law enforcement, and promptly report any suspicious activities.
