EKO HOT BLOG reports that the protest was led by Jamilu Yahaya, as participants marched along Daura Road before proceeding to the Katsina office of INEC, where they submitted a formal petition to the Resident Electoral Commissioner through an official representative.
In their demands, the protesters called on INEC to restore the leadership of the party led by David Mark on the commission’s official portal.
They also urged the electoral body to issue a public apology to Nigerians for actions they claimed had undermined constitutional order.
The group further demanded that INEC refrain from acting on letters, pending motions or non binding processes without clear judicial pronouncements, stressing that the commission must remain neutral in internal party matters.
According to the protesters, recent actions attributed to INEC in relation to the party’s leadership could disrupt preparations for the ADC’s planned national convention and raise concerns about the commission’s impartiality.
They warned that failure to address their demands within the stipulated period could lead to further lawful civic actions across the country.

Receiving the petition on behalf of the Resident Electoral Commissioner, the Administrative Secretary of INEC in Katsina, Ibrahim Dari, assured the protesters that their concerns would be forwarded to the appropriate authorities for necessary action.
